April
This intermediate course builds on the basics of Transactors’ introductory course. Focus is on
developing performance-level skills in both short and long improvisational forms. The course
concludes with an informal public demonstration. Completion of Intro to Improv is
recommended but not required for those with theater and/or improv experience. This course is
taught by company members under the direction of Greg Hohn.
14 - Transactors Across America, performance and fundraiser, The ArtsCenter,
300-G E. Main St., Carrboro (8 p.m.). Tickets are $15 ($25 for VIP supporters, $13 for
ArtsCenter Friends and $7 for students). Visit
The ArtsCenter or call (919) 929-2787 for tickets and directions.
Look up on the stage... It's an improv show! It's a concert! It's a cabaret! It's a hybrid
performance with travel themes as well as funky Bayou blues and boogie-woogie by musical guests Mark
Lewis (piano and Farfisa organ), Scott Sawyer (guitar), and Nathan Logan (percussion). It's
Transactors Across America!
This show is also a fundraiser. Transactors Improv has been invited to perform at the 2007
Chicago and San Francisco Improv Festivals. Transactors are the only improv company from the
Southeast performing at these prestigious international festivals. But Transactors need your
help to offset travel and lodging costs.
Show Transactors your love by sending them away! For $25 you can purchase a VIP ticket to this
event. VIPs are treated to the best seats in the house and pre-show champagne along with a
meet-the-performers appetizers-and-wine reception after the show. A silent auction, featuring
tickets to area theaters and items such as a pair of autographed latex dishwashing gloves, will
be open to all audience members.
And Transactors Improv is a not-for-profit organization, meaning any additional largesse is tax
deductible!
The cast for Transactors Across America includes Anoushka Brod, Jill Greeson, director
Greg Hohn, Rachel Klem, Jeffrey Moore, Nancy Pekar, Dan Sipp, and Steven Warnock. Mike Beard
improvises technical effects.

Come experience the wonderful, horrible, exciting, and scary world of Dating on Earth
from the safety of your theater seat. This show's setting is a speed-dating event.
Characters in this piece will be developed through audience suggestion and the sparks
are sure to fly--but will they be sparks of love or sparks of hate?
Memory examines what and how we recall events, people, and things and how memory and the
past affect
the present. This piece features characters' traveling back and forth in time via their memories.
