June
Summer, the vacation season, is nearly upon us and so Transactors Improv will send its actors on the virtual road in Going on Vacation. This
improvised show is about the adventure of getting away from your all to someone else’s all.
The audience will provide vacation destinations and personal qualities for characters on journeys as families, couples, and individuals. As they travel, the
characters and their relationships will be changed by the natives, other travelers, and places they encounter.
The cast for Going on Vacation includes Anoo Brod, Jill Greeson, director Greg Hohn, Jeffrey Moore, Nancy Pekar, Dan Sipp, and Steven Warnock. Crispy
Bess provides piano accompaniment and Mike Beard improvises lighting and sound effects.
8-29 - Public course, Applied Improv II: Creativity and Communication, The Friday Center,
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m.). Course fee is $50. Visit the Friday Center or call (919) 962-3000 to register. Advance registration is encouraged!
In Applied Improv II, you will seek to develop and refine authentically expressive communication through improvisational activities, games, and speeches.
You will also explore group and individual creativity through improvising. As in the introductory course, this is an experiential course with a focus on
business and other 'real life' applications. It is not intended expressly as an acting or theater course.
